Within the restaurant of
our boutique lodge, award-winning Ophi Vineyard wines
are high on the wine list, and we recommend a wine tasting,
or lunch at the winery café, Clifton Cottage (open
Oct-April). Recommended by Cuisine and Winestate magazines
as producers of the best white wines - the Pinot Gris,
Riesling, Chardonnay and Muller Thurgau - and also the
red Pinot Noir, the vineyard was established in 1991 by
Brenda and Colin Lyon as the only vineyard in the central
South Island area. A truly boutique business, with cellar
door sales of produce.
